Turning the Story Inside Out
In early March 2020, we had just finished shooting and editing the latest brand video for Visit Oceanside. A few weeks into the pandemic we made the decision to pivot off our original execution and to turn the story inside out. We ended up with a successful new campaign, using the assets already created while communicating a message that was authentic to the time and true to the offbeat and upbeat personality of Oceanside.
Diving into the human condition of the time allowed us room to play with so many new routines, hobbies and fascinations people have found themselves enthralled with while stuck in the “great indoors”. The campaign invited everyone to put down the spatulas, stop talking to their houseplants and get outside—because inside just isn’t O’side.
